Jumeirah Beach 1 Reaches 95% Complete, Reopens February 2026

The Jumeirah Beach 1 redevelopment has reached more than 95 percent completion and is set to reopen in early February 2026, according to project details shared in a LinkedIn update from DH7 Group.

This timing matters for Jumeirah households because the work forms part of a wider public beach package that also covers Al Mamzar Beach. Families who use the shoreline for daily walks, weekend gatherings and exercise will see the changes first-hand once gates reopen.

Expanded space and daily use

The beach width has grown through sand replenishment and a new cross-section design, increasing the usable area by about 50 percent. That added room directly raises capacity for local residents who currently share the strip with visitors from across the city. Pedestrian paths, seating zones and service points have been rebuilt so daily routines such as morning swims or after-school visits become more comfortable.

Service upgrades include new electricity, water and drainage networks laid along the entire frontage. These changes reduce the chance of summer outages or drainage problems that previously disrupted use during peak months.

Long-term shoreline protection

Engineers placed roughly 250,000 cubic metres of clean sand to raise beach levels and added measures against coastal erosion and future sea-level rise. The work protects the new layout from gradual wear, giving Jumeirah a more stable public asset for years ahead.

Residents planning visits after the February reopening can expect a single, continuous stretch of upgraded shoreline rather than the patchwork of older sections.
