Business Bay Schedules Group Runs and Walks Through Late July
Business Bay participants have multiple group runs and walks scheduled through late July that combine exercise with fundraising for local health initiatives.
How we reported this

Three community fitness events open for registration this week in Business Bay, starting with a 5-kilometre fun run along the canal on 15 July organised by the Business Bay Community Association.
Group exercise has grown steadily in the district since the opening of new public paths two years ago, giving residents regular chances to train together rather than alone in air-conditioned gyms. The timing aligns with longer daylight hours and milder evening temperatures that make outdoor sessions practical before the peak summer heat returns.
Events set for canal and Bay Square
The 15 July run begins at 6:30 pm near the Executive Towers and follows the paved route beside the Business Bay Canal before finishing at Bay Avenue. A separate charity walk on 22 July starts at the same point and raises funds for the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charity Foundation through a 3-kilometre route that loops around Bay Square. On 29 July the association adds a beginner-friendly interval session at the same locations, open to all ages and led by certified trainers from the Dubai Sports Council.
Each event requires advance sign-up through the association’s online portal. The 5-kilometre run carries a 75 AED entry fee that includes a timing chip and water stations, while the charity walk asks for a minimum 50 AED donation. Past editions have drawn between 300 and 450 participants, according to association records from the 2025 season.
Registration and preparation steps
Residents can register until 13 July for the first run by visiting the association office on the ground floor of Bay Square Tower 2 or completing the form on its website. Volunteers will distribute route maps and safety briefings the evening before each gathering. Anyone with existing medical conditions should check with a physician at one of the district clinics on Al Abraj Street before taking part.
Those who complete any of the three events receive a digital certificate and an invitation to the next quarterly community fitness meet-up planned for October.
