Jumeirah sunrise spots for morning meditation and yoga draw early crowds
Residents head to beachside parks before 6am to practice as July temperatures rise.
How we reported this

Jumeirah residents have shifted their outdoor routines to start before sunrise, with groups gathering at local parks for meditation and yoga sessions on mats laid out on grass and sand.
The change aligns with peak summer heat that reaches 42 degrees Celsius by mid-morning on most July days in Dubai. Wellness programmes run by the Dubai Sports Council have expanded morning slots this season to encourage safe outdoor activity before the sun climbs high over the Arabian Gulf.
Two accessible sites in Jumeirah
Jumeirah Beach Park on Jumeirah Beach Road opens its gates at 5am and offers shaded lawns directly facing the water where participants spread towels for seated breathing exercises. A second location, the open lawns beside La Mer Beach in Jumeirah 3, attracts smaller circles who finish sessions with gentle stretches near the promenade by 6:30am.
Both spots sit within a short drive of Al Wasl Road and Umm Suqeim Street, making them reachable for residents in Jumeirah 1 and 2 without crossing major traffic corridors.
Numbers and costs
Dubai Municipality data from 2025 recorded 18,400 registered users of public fitness apps who logged sessions at Jumeirah parks between January and June, up from 12,900 the prior year. Drop-in yoga classes at the La Mer site run by local instructors cost 85 AED per session, while free guided meditation circles meet at Jumeirah Beach Park three mornings a week.
Visitors should bring water, arrive no later than 5:15am and check the municipality app for any temporary gate changes. Those new to the practice can join the next free introductory circle at Jumeirah Beach Park on 12 July.
