How we reported this
Palm Jumeirah residents now have two established free outdoor fitness locations that draw steady daily crowds for strength and cardio circuits.
Local wellness programs have expanded public access to equipment along the waterfront in the past two years, reducing reliance on paid gym memberships that average 400 dirhams monthly at nearby indoor facilities. The shift aligns with Dubai’s push for outdoor activity during milder morning and evening hours amid summer temperatures that often exceed 38 degrees Celsius.
Equipment along the eastern crescent
The fitness circuit near Atlantis The Palm on the eastern crescent includes pull-up bars, parallel bars and leg-press stations installed along a 400-metre stretch of Crescent Road. Users rotate through six stations marked with numbered signs that guide a full-body routine. A second site at Palm West Beach, adjacent to The Pointe, features rowing machines, battle ropes and rubberised running tracks set on a raised platform overlooking the marina. Both locations opened their current layouts in late 2023 after upgrades funded by Nakheel Properties.
Usage data and maintenance schedule
Dubai Municipality records show 12,800 registered users accessed Palm Jumeirah public fitness points in the first quarter of 2026, with peak attendance between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. Equipment receives safety inspections every Monday and Thursday. No entry fees apply, though visitors must supply their own mats and water bottles.
Anyone planning a session should arrive before 8 a.m. during July to avoid heat warnings issued by the Dubai Health Authority and should stick to shaded sections marked on site maps posted at both locations.
